Charlene Ann Jimenea Carolina is an experienced healthcare attorney who has represented numerous physicians and healthcare companies in complex litigation matters.
Charlene attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance before attending the University of Houston Law Center. While in law school, Charlene was a member of the mock trial team and competed within the various law school competitions. Charlene placed first in the Tom Newhouse Mediation Competition, third in the Hofheinz Advocacy Triathlon, and participated at the national level of the Association of Trial Lawyers Mock Trial Competition.
In addition to her activities in law school, Charlene also served as a law clerk and worked to revise various Harris County forms for healthcare related needs for the public. Upon graduating law school, Charlene began practicing law in Houston at a small litigation boutique where she focused on employment litigation and discrimination, patent infringement defense, business litigation, personal injury, and appellate practice. After her time there, she began practicing at a midsize insurance defense firm specializing in first party insurance bad faith litigation. Charlene then went on to work at a premier employment litigation boutique specializing in non-compete and trade secret litigation, as well as contract drafting and business litigation.
For over the last decade, Charlene has worked Of Counsel representing physician owned companies in litigation matters, representing individual physicians in matters before the Texas Medical Board, and has helped negotiate, draft, and review physician employment agreements. Because of her litigation and healthcare related experience, Charlene is particularly qualified to help physicians and healthcare providers with the unique legal challenges they face. Charlene also represents smaller physician practices that need guidance in their human resources department, with healthcare regulation compliance, and with business disputes and contract drafting.
Charlene’s current practice includes medical malpractice, physician and healthcare provider representation, financial litigation, insurance litigation, and human resources issues.
Charlene is a member of the Labor and Employment Section of the State Bar of Texas, Health Law Section and Antitrust and Business Litigation, the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and the National Forensics League.
